Asahi Super Dry Hall

One of the many highlights to see in Tokyo is the Asahi Super Dry Hall (Asakusa).  And with good reason: Although the locals tend to call it the “golden poo building”, its huge golden flame on top of a more conservative office-building is supposed to resemble the passion with which “Asahi”, a well know producer of beer, brews for its customers. And even though one can argue if this goal was achieved or not, taking pictures of this huge peculiarity is a lot of fun. Its shape trains ones sense for composition, the tonal interplay of the blue sky and the yellow surfaces makes for unique shots. And if you are lucky to be there on a clear day, take your time for this unique and versatile eyecatcher. If not, I hope I can lend a hand with this sedcard.
